Dometic has introduced Recon, a modular cooling system that pairs hard and soft coolers with a shared line of accessories designed to lock, stack, and scale together across different trip lengths and vehicle setups. This adds a strong dimension of practicality that many would find extremely useful.

The Recon hard cooler lineup comes in 16L, 41L, and 69L sizes, while the Recon ZL soft coolers are offered in 12L, 17L, and 21L versions. Aside from the clean, modern aesthetic, the modular cooling system by Dometic is sure to draw people in for its ability to save space — the non-skid feet on hard coolers nest into the lids of other Recon units, and the tie-down points are positioned so they don’t obstruct access. Weight is another factor. The brand notes that its injection-molded construction is up to 30% lighter than rotomolded alternatives.
