While most styli are designed according to the idea that the pencil is the ideal shape for writing, the 'Scriba [Stylus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antimicrobial-active-stylus-for-ipad)' is designed to fit the needs of the user. The Scriba Stylus features an open body design that conforms to the natural curves and movement of your hand. The unique design allows the user to squeeze the stylus to control the line they are drawing. This model is far more intuitive than pressure-based tools such as traditional pens and pencils. The modern stylus is made from high-quality polymer and features a full half inch of movement, which makes it both durable and versatile. Designed to respond to your every touch, the Scriba Stylus offers a kind of creative freedom that traditional pencils cannot. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Ergonomic Styli:** The rising trend of ergonomic styli focuses on designing writing tools that conform to the natural curves and movements of the user's hand. - **User-controlled Tools:** The trend of user-controlled tools, exemplified by the Scriba Stylus, offers a more intuitive and personalized approach to writing and drawing. - **Creative Freedom:** The increasing demand for creative freedom drives the development of innovative writing utensils that enable users to express themselves more freely. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** In the consumer electronics industry, companies can develop ergonomic styli that enhance user experience and redefine how we interact with digital devices. - **Stationery and Office Supplies:** The stationery and office supplies industry can explore the market for ergonomic writing tools that prioritize comfort and improve productivity for consumers. - **Design and Product Development:** The design and product development industry can embrace the trend of user-controlled tools to create novel writing utensils that offer more intuitive and customizable experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ergonomically Curved Writing Utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curva-pen.md) - [Stone-Grip Conical Pencils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aluminum-sphere.md) - [Ergonomic 3D-Printed Pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-pen.md) - [Captivating Stylus Pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quill.md) - [Sculptural Writing Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/experimental-pencils.md) - [Ergonomic Low-Gravity Stationary](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gravity-pen.md) - [Lifelike Writing Utensil Styluses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-pencil-pro.md) - [Unique Writing Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphite-paintbrush-writing-instrument.md) - [Pattern-Drawing Dual-Tip Pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colored-curve-pens.md)
