Tramp uses a lot of [portraits and silhouettes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cresco-rug) in his rug designs and is not afraid of mixing up old-fashioned layouts with modern additions. With this I am specifically referring to the gorgeous piece that consists of what it looks like a murder scene silhouette at the corner of a perfectly traditional rug. Thomas Tramp's style of design is extremely versatile. While a majority of his collections include [abstract patterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/talk-talk), many others convey rather pop culture inspired, conceptual illustrations and typography. Tramp provides quality and durability that suits every taste with his flexible and dexterous design talent. These rugs are [hand made in Nepal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-and-soul) under global fair-trade standards and can be customized to fit consumers expectations. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Versatile Rug Designs:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create rugs that can easily adapt to different room styles and preferences. - **Mixing Old and New:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to blend traditional rug layouts with modern elements, creating unique and unexpected designs. - **Pop Culture Inspired Rugs:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create rugs that feature conceptual illustrations and typography inspired by popular culture, appealing to a younger audience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to incorporate Thomas Tramp's versatile rug designs into various interior design styles, catering to different tastes and preferences. - **Home Decor:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to introduce rugs that mix traditional and modern elements, adding a touch of uniqueness to home decor collections. - **Customization Services:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to offer customization options for rugs, allowing consumers to personalize their designs and fit their expectations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Textured Rug Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/textured-rug-design.md) - [Boldly-Patterned Bespoke Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bolon.md) - [Hand-Tufted Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floordrobe.md) - [Vibrantly Abstract Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abstraction-collection.md) - [Artful Versatile Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanimarquina.md) - [Artful Various Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cctapis.md) - [Abstract Geometric Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/discorectangle.md) - [Lifestyle-Themed Patterned Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quotidiana.md) - [Exquisite Textured Rug Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/textured-rug.md)
