# Modern Rolling Chair Rapide by ONEMANDUO is Inspired by a Wheelbarrow By Meghan Young | Published 2014-09-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-rolling-chair References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/rapide-lounge-chair-inspired-wheelbarrow/) & [onemanduo](http://www.onemanduo.com/) This modern rolling chair isn't what a person might first think of. It isn't a typical [office chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylish-ergonomic-office-chair) on wheels. Instead, it is a large cushioned seat that is modeled after a traditional wheelbarrow. Although it doesn't embrace a bucket design, it does embrace two big wooden wheels in the front and a handle at the back to pull it when needed. Designed by ONEMANDUO for Estonian company [Borg](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b6-water-dispenser), the modern rolling chair is dubbed Rapide. Contemporary and curvy, it is a great piece of furniture to have in the office. After all, there is often a lot of rearranging when holding an informal meeting or inviting groups of clients. The modern rolling chair strikes a great balance between versatility, permanency and a professional playfulness that many youthful studios will appreciate. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modern Rolling Furniture Design:** Opportunity to create innovative furniture designs that merge traditional and modern aesthetics. - **Versatile Office Accessories:** Opportunity to reimagine conventional office accessories with modern materials and designs. - **Playful Professional Aesthetics:** Opportunity to bring a youthful, playful aesthetic to professional office settings. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Designing furniture that can be used both functionally and as a decor piece. - **Office Supplies:** Developing versatile office accessories that improve functionality and add to the aesthetics of the workspace. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating playful, unconventional furniture designs in professional office settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Versatile Dynamic Armchair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-armchair.md) - [Circular Modernist Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zerogravity-chair.md) - [Ergonomic Wheel-Shaped Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-azbi-chair.md) - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md) - [Cinnamon Roll-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bun-bun-chair.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-rocking-chair.md) - [Circular Rolling Bar Carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rolly-bar-cart.md) - [Health-Focused Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-office-chair.md) - [Multi-Position Beanbag Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolve-chair.md)
