# Contemporary Industrial Lofts The Harmoniously Designed Loft 002 is the Ultimate Modern Loft By Farida Helmy | Published 2014-01-30 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-loft References: [freshome](http://freshome.com/2014/01/25/industrial-elements-softened-appealing-mix-textures-loft-002-canada/) & [raddesign](http://www.raddesign.ca) This modern loft in Toronto, Canada mixes textures to warm up the cold industrial-feel associated with lofts. Nestled in the trendy Kind Street West, Loft 002 is not your typical cold and spacious modern loft. It may be a little on the smaller side of the spectrum when it comes to lofts, but it more than makes up for it with its inviting and warm design—via the natural light streaming in through the floor to ceiling windows. Designed by Rad Design Inc, Loft 002 packs a lot in a humble space. Not trying to cover up or take attention away from the concrete ceilings and exposed pipes, the designers embrace the contemporary industrial and factory features of the loft. Playing with different colors and a mixture of textures, Loft 002 becomes just the right mix of soft and hard. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.3/10 - Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cozy Tree House Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reinterpret-tree-house.md) - [Revamped Victorian Townhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moor-house.md) - [Minimalist Micro-Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microcabin.md) - [Industrial Urban Abodes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-loft-apartment.md) - [Cozy Self-Sustaining Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-home-design.md) - [Economy-Sized Urban Abodes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/living-in-the-city-by-apostrophys.md) - [Adaptable Loft Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loft-renovation.md) - [Personality-Reflecting Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alex-bykov.md)
