This creative project is called 'A Doll's House', and includes designs from over twenty different architects in total. Each of these doll dwellings differs greatly from the others, from [compact designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-housing-prototype) to [wacky wonderland-style towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-tower). All of the proceeds from this imaginative project are funneled into a UK charity called 'KIDS', which focuses on helping disabled children (a more than worthy cause). A firm called The Cathedral Group is behind this clever fundraiser, and these one of a kind doll houses are now available for purchase online. These modern doll dwellings put Barbie play houses to shame. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modern Doll Houses:** Opportunity for designers to create unique, modern doll houses that cater to a niche market. - **Charity Fundraising:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to raise funds for charitable causes through creative projects like designing doll houses. - **Architectural Design Collaboration:** Potential for architects to collaborate on creative projects like 'A Doll's House' and showcase their unique designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Toy Manufacturing:** Innovative doll house designs can revolutionize the toy manufacturing industry by offering modern options for children's playhouses. - **Charitable Organizations:** Using creative projects like modern doll houses, charitable organizations can attract more donors and raise funds in unique ways. - **Architectural Services:** Architects can explore new opportunities in designing and marketing doll houses as a form of artistic expression and potential revenue stream. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Architectural Toy Publications](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-dreamhouse-an-architectural-survey.md) - [Block Puzzle Modular Dollhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dollhouse-concept.md) - [Doll-Inspired Modern Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pavilions-of-wonder.md) - [Living Condition Awareness Dollhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unwelcome-home.md) - [Film-Inspired Bright Doll Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-mojo-dojo-casa-house.md) - [Dollhouse-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-x-joybird.md) - [Modernism Birdhouse Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwellings-project.md) - [Tri-Level Luxury Dollhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-dollhouse.md) - [Abstract Fantasy Home Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abstract-fantasy-home.md)
