This house sits on a steep slope and is stacked on two volumes, allowing it to blend into the natural landscape. The lower structure is built directly into the terrain and is used to support the top level. Featuring a rustic, wood-covered exterior and a modern white, yellow and blue interior, this house pulls from contrasting design inspiration. The entirety of the back of the home is made up of large windows, allowing the beautiful environment to flood into every room of the house. This modern cottage in Ontario is a quiet getaway on a picturesque lake.
