The Mocubo by Quirky is an ingenious solution to a common culinary conundrum, which provides a place to collect your cuttings and store them for the first step of your recipe. It may look like a [thick wooden cutting board](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caraway-prep-serve-butcher-block), but the pale bamboo used in this slicing surface comprises a relatively thin panel with a deeper frame installed beneath. Slots are provided to accommodate three [drawer-like dishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saveit) and one slide-out strainer into which you need simply scrape your hashed meat or vegetables. Each of these containers can be pulled right out out of the Mocubo by Quirky to afford easy rinsing and the convenient ingredient separation. It permits you to organize different foods and dump them into the pot separately according to instructions and required cooking times. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Kitchen Gadgets:** The trend of smart kitchen gadgets such as the Mocubo by Quirky provides an opportunity for innovative companies to create other time-saving and space-saving devices for modern homes. - **Eco-friendly Kitchen Products:** The use of sustainable materials like bamboo in kitchen products is becoming a trend and is an opportunity for companies to create more eco-friendly alternatives. - **Multi-functional Storage Solutions:** The trend towards multi-functional cutting board organizers like the Mocubo indicates that consumers are seeking products that maximize functionality and storage space, opening doors for businesses to create similar products in other industries. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Goods:** The home goods industry has an opportunity to create innovative and space-saving products like the Mocubo by Quirky for modern and busy households. - **Kitchenware:** Innovative kitchenware companies can capitalize on the trend of multi-functional and eco-friendly products, like the Mocubo by Quirky, to create similar and complementary products. - **Sustainable Materials:** The use of sustainable materials like bamboo in products such as the Mocubo by Quirky indicates an opportunity for businesses to create more eco-friendly options in other industries, such as packaging or construction materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Expandable Construction Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexiboard.md) - [All-in-One Countertop Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/countertop-workstation.md) - [Intelligent Preparation Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4t7-smart-chopping-board.md) - [Multifunctional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latticeboard-multipurpose-kitchen-board.md) - [Eight-in-One Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchyhub.md) - [Tech-Friendly Organization Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sousshelf.md) - [Smart Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versaware.md) - [Magnetic D2C Knife Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/misen-modular-knife-storage.md) - [All-in-One Kitchen Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-cleaning.md)
