The device's simple design takes the shape of a clothespin. Its atypical shape stands in stark contrast to mobile camera lenses currently available on the market. However, it's the Mobi-Lens' unique look that allows it to quickly and easily [clip onto the camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silence-corner-mambapod) of any and all gadgets. The Mobi-Lens comes in two styles: a wide angle/macro lens and a fish eye lens. The lenses come with a cap to ensure that they don't become scratched from accidental drops. The creators of the Mobi-Lens are currently seeking funding on Kickstarter to get their product off the ground. If the project gets fully funded, the lenses will sell for $30 each or $60 for both. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Mobile Camera Accessories:** The Mobi-Lens is a disruptive innovation opportunity in the mobile camera accessory market with its unique clothespin design. - **Affordable Lens Options:** The Mobi-Lens provides an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the lens industry by offering affordable options for wide angle/macro and fish eye lenses. - **Universal Lens Compatibility:** The Mobi-Lens presents a disruptive innovation opportunity by providing a one-size-fits-all lens that can easily clip onto the cameras of various gadgets. ### Where This Applies - **Mobile Accessories:** The Mobi-Lens disrupts the mobile accessories industry with its innovative clothespin design for camera lenses. - **Photography Equipment:** The Mobi-Lens offers a disruptive innovation opportunity in the photography equipment industry by providing affordable lens options for mobile devices. - **Crowdfunding Platforms:** The Mobi-Lens showcases a disruptive innovation opportunity for crowdfunding platforms with its Kickstarter campaign seeking funding for the product development. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pro-Approved Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-tseries-mobile-lenses.md) - [Pro-Grade Macro Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-75mm-macro-lens.md) - [Elongated Smartphone Photography Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandmarc-probe-lens.md) - [Space-Saving Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-lensultra.md) - [Pro-Grade Smartphone Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switchlens.md) - [Macro Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-1.md) - [Variable Vintage Aesthetic Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-tuner-by-module-8.md) - [Magnetic Detachable Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/martvsen-magstack.md) - [Pro-Grade Aftermarket Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandmarc-telephoto-6x.md)
