# Next-Day Air Infirmaries Kukli Han's Mobile Hospital is Made to Treat Victims of Natural Disasters By Michael Hines | Published 2011-07-26 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-hospital References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/07/25/anytime-anywhere-deliverable-hospital/) The Mobile Hospital by Kukil Han is a conceptual [solar-powered hospital](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jawaher-boston-medical-district) designed specifically to help victims of natural disasters. The Mobile Hospital has the look of a shipping crate and is designed to be carried into remote areas via helicopter. The shipping crate look of this hospital is intentional as it helps make [aerial transport](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-eye-hospital) easier. Once on the ground, the Mobile Hospital folds out to become a three-chamber first-aid facility complete with rooftop solar panels that provide power in a pinch. Han has wisely designed multiple Mobile Hospitals, with each unit functioning as a different part of a normal hospital. Additional units include features such as an x-ray room, morgue and patient consultation center. A hospital such as this could help save many lives as poor medical care often adds greatly to the death toll immediately following a natural disaster. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Mobile Hospital:** Developing mobile hospitals with solar panels and designed like shipping crates for easier transport to remote areas for medical care in times of natural disasters. - **Modular Hospital Design:** Designing modular hospitals that can be transported and set up quickly in remote areas to provide medical care in times of disasters. - **Solar-powered Medical Facilities:** Developing solar-powered healthcare facilities that can function in remote locations without access to traditional power sources for medical care in times of natural disasters. ### Where This Applies - **Healthcare:** Opportunity for healthcare providers to invest and develop mobile hospitals and modular healthcare facilities to provide care in times of natural disasters. - **Renewable Energy:** Opportunity for renewable energy providers to develop more solar-powered medical facilities for remote locations without access to traditional power sources in times of natural disasters. - **Transportation:** Opportunity for transportation companies to invest in developing new transport methods to easily transport modular hospitals and mobile medical facilities to remote areas in times of natural disasters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Emergency Vehicles Proposals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-emergency-vehicles.md) - [Origami-Inspired Disaster Relief Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prefab-folding-pods.md) - [Off-Road Frontline Medic Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/life-chariot.md) - [Mobile Hospital Questionnaires](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-medical-center.md) - [Modern Mobile Fridge Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amity.md) - [Mechanical Legged Mobile Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-home-concept.md) - [Futuristic Hospital Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jawaher-boston-medical-district.md) - [Inflatable Rescue Stretchers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-rescue-stretcher.md) - [Humanized Waiting Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/de-wachtkamer.md)
