Full of eccentric character, this is one lighting fixture that will hypnotize you with its sightless stare. Designed by [King & Miranda Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aframe-playhouse) for the Spanish company Estiluz, the Mitzy Lamp is available in [wall, floor and pendant versions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impulse-wall-light). Highly textured, the "polycarbonate shades are clad in an elastic cover boasting a lattice design, which filters the light shining from the bulb beneath in a funky pattern," according to Trendir. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Eccentric Lighting:** Discover the trend of lighting fixtures with eccentric character that hypnotize with their sightless stare. - **Textured Shades:** Explore the trend of polycarbonate shades clad in elastic covers with lattice designs, filtering light in funky patterns. - **Hypnotic Design:** Uncover the trend of lighting designs that mesmerize with their hypnotic aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Lighting Design:** Eccentric lighting trends present disruptive innovation opportunities for designers to experiment and captivate customers with unique designs. - **Home Decor:** Textured shades offer an innovative option for home decor industry professionals to create visually appealing lighting fixtures. - **Retail:** Hypnotic lighting designs can disrupt the retail industry by creating immersive and captivating shopping experiences for customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Mysterious Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auge-light-mini.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Melt-Resembling Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/melt-light.md) - [Illusory Mirror Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-table-lamp.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Ethereal Space-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wormhole-table-lamp.md) - [Eclipse-Inspired Whimsical Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-traveler.md)
