# Autonomous Air Purifiers The MITO Air Purifier is a Mobile System That Seeks Out Polluted Air By Amy Duong | Published 2025-12-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mito-air-purifier References: [keyshot](http://keyshot.com/mindset/) The MITO air purifier concept rethinks indoor air cleaning by allowing the device to move directly toward areas with poor air quality. Instead of remaining fixed in one location, the purifier operates as a [self-navigating unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/namuhx-a1) guided by a network of sensors placed throughout a home. These sensors detect carbon dioxide, particulate matter, and volatile organic compounds, triggering the purifier to relocate when [air quality drops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/homecleanse-guardian). The system also provides ventilation alerts, encouraging manual airflow when conditions require support beyond filtration. The purifier is equipped with LiDAR navigation, cameras, and mapping software to move safely through interior environments. Its [soft form and interchangeable exterior panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeroview-air-purifier) allow it to visually adapt to different rooms. By introducing mobility into air purification, the concept shifts smart home devices from passive appliances into active environmental tools that respond directly to real-time conditions.
