It is tragic to think of all of the neglected kismet meetings that take place every minute in many different situations; the Missed Connections on the New York Subway artwork hones in on one specific scenario. Elaborating on her original [Missed Connections series](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/classified-creations) in which artist Sophie Blackall illustrates postings on the similarly named section of Craigslist, this poster takes a step backwards and visualizes people before they even decide to follow up on what they believe could be the bud of a new and exciting relationship.

A vibrant masterpiece, due to both the colors used and characters portrayed, the Missed Connections on the New York Subway [poster illustrates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pointillism) [fleeting encounters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/satellite-exhibition) in a way that will encourage people to seize the moment. It was created for the New York MTA Arts for Transit program.
