# Reflective Camouflaged Houses This Mirror House Hides Right Out in the Open By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-01-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-house References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/architecture/johan-selbing-architecture-conceals-mirror-house-in-landscape-01-16-2014/) & [johanselbing.nl](http://www.johanselbing.nl/) This mirror house makes a literal example out of the saying "hiding in plain site." The mirror house by John Selbing architecture and Anouk Vogel makes its exterior a literal reflection of its surroundings. If you ever wanted to disappear for a little while, then this is the house you've been looking for. This [compact glass house](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-house) reflects its surroundings in a way that makes it hard to spot. The inside is clean and modern, with beige multiplex panel walls and cupboards that are all uniform to the style, and the living area is spacious. The floor is slightly elevated so as to see the forest that the exterior emulates even better. The interior mood is a warm contrast to the cold, glassy exterior and provides a beautiful contemporary living environment.
