# Frosted Fusion Furnishings The Nendo Mirror-Chair is a 2-in-1 Mirror Furniture Design By Gil Cohen | Published 2013-04-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-furniture-design References: [mocoloco](http://mocoloco.com/fresh2/2013/04/02/mirror-chair-by-nendo.php) & [glasitalia](http://www.glasitalia.com/sede.php) A collaboration with Italian furniture design brand [Glas Italia](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compression-dining-table), the Nendo Mirror-Chair is a stunning piece of mirror furniture design that combines sleek style with practical function. Hanging on the wall, the shiny reflective mirror acts as a back for the stool that is embedded in the bottom. While the top is very sheer, the [glass slowly starts to frost](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-collection-1) until it is almost opaque towards the seating section, emphasizing the two separate furniture elements that have been fused together. This two-in-one function works well for those with limited space in their boudoir, yet still want glamorous pieces that have a luxurious feeling. Although fairly minimal in size, this mirror furniture design piece will become the focal point of any room. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Mirror Furniture Design:** The fusion of mirrors and furniture design presents opportunities to create innovative and space-saving pieces that combine style and practicality. - **Two-in-one Functionality:** The trend of integrating multiple functions into furniture designs opens up possibilities for creating versatile and efficient pieces for consumers with limited space. - **Luxurious Minimalism:** The combination of sleek style and luxurious elements in furniture design allows for creating statement pieces that elevate the aesthetic of any room. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can leverage mirror furniture designs to offer innovative and space-saving solutions for modern living spaces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can tap into the trend of two-in-one functionality to provide consumers with versatile and efficient furniture options for small living spaces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate mirror furniture designs to create focal points in rooms while maintaining a luxurious and minimalist aesthetic. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Structural Mirror Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bton-brut.md) - [Jewelry-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/through-chrome-reflections.md) - [Shimmering Cantilevered Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2023-shadow-chair.md) - [Stainless Steel Reflective Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-view-chair.md) - [Ultra-Simple Multifunctional Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairpf.md) - [Space-Saving Garment Care Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-dualfunction-ironing-board-mirror.md) - [Curvaceous Shelf-Paired Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-mirror.md) - [Illusory Doorway Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panis-mirror.md) - [Geometrical Golden Ratio Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ascension-wall-mirror.md)
