That is because she uses a surprising program to create these [vivid scenes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-digital-artwork) of a surreal outdoors: MS Paint. That's right, Miranda Lambert uses a childhood staple (at least for those from an older generation) to create [pink mountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sarah-sherman-samuel-for-color-atelier) and abstract female shapes. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Miranda Lambert may rely on fairly minimalist imagery, but she nevertheless spends hours getting the [color gradients](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pointillism) and mountain ridges just right. Each painting takes about a day to complete, something she does in her spare time since she is an HR assistant by day. Each work is accompanied by a poignant caption such as "a drawing about finding something and letting it go” and “a drawing about when you leave the party to be alone for a bit.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Digital Art:** Exploring the use of unconventional digital tools, like MS Paint, to create vibrant and unique artworks. - **Minimalism:** Embracing minimalist imagery to create visually striking compositions that evoke emotion and depth. - **Personal Expression:** Using art as a means of personal expression, incorporating poignant captions that deepen the narrative of the artwork. ### Who This Affects Most - **Fine Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introducing digital tools and unconventional techniques to the traditional world of fine art, expanding possibilities for artists and redefining creative boundaries. - **Software Development:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing user-friendly digital art platforms that cater to artists of all skill levels, enabling them to create stunning artworks using accessible tools. - **Creative Industries:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Fostering a space for unconventional mediums and techniques in the creative industries, inviting new perspectives and challenging traditional notions of art and expression. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [Photo Art Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/image-painter.md) - [Dynamic Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-displays.md) - [Hand-Painted Watercolor Prints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emma-webster.md) - [AI-Powered Art Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wombo-dream.md) - [Colorful Retro Pixel Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-mirror.md) - [AI-Powered Painting Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loklik-ipaint.md) - [90s Graphic Editor Updates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ms-paint-1.md)
