Tinos is known as the ‘Island of Madonna’ and is the greatest center for pilgrimage in Greece, making it the perfect location for this striking home. "The island is famous for its unspoiled architecture, its picturesque villages and beautiful scenery and is filled with thousands of churches that grace its slopes and hilltops." Juxtaposed against the region's stunning landscape and historical architecture is this latest creation from Kois Associated Architects. The Mirage Residence is located atop a rocky hill and overlooks the Aegean Sea. The single-level structure has a surface area of 198 square meters and boasts [panoramic views](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-95) of its surrounding landscape. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modern Monumental Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunities include incorporating modern architecture into historical and culturally significant locations. - **Rooftop Living Spaces:** Disruptive innovation opportunities include creating rooftop lounging abodes and living spaces in urban areas. - **Panoramic Views:** Disruptive innovation opportunities include incorporating panoramic views into architectural design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Modern architecture has the opportunity to disrupt historically significant locations and contribute to the preservation of cultural landmarks. - **Real Estate:** Incorporating rooftop living spaces into urban development has the opportunity to revolutionize urban living and maximize space usage. - **Tourism:** Incorporating panoramic views into hotel and resort design has the opportunity to enhance the tourist experience and provide a unique selling point. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mirrored Terrace Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terrace-house-mirage.md) - [Cliffside Minimalist Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aip-azia-villa.md) - [Textural Greek Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/southwand-house.md) - [Textured Local Stone Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-atrium-house.md) - [Stylish Modern Contemporary Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pnos-tinos.md) - [Temple-Inspired Idyllic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/k-residence-1.md) - [Minimalist Beach House Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1980s-beach-house.md) - [Hidden Resort Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-1.md) - [Three-Story Garden Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nirvana-house.md)
