# Minimalist Micro-Apartments This Firm Created a Minimalist Studio Apartment with Very Little Space By Mishal Omar | Published 2016-05-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-studio-apartment References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/minimalist-studio-apartment-krakow/?utm_source=feedly&utm_medium=webfeeds) & [karolcieplinski](http://www.karolcieplinski.com/) By giving this minimalist studio apartment a modern look, architecture firm BLACKHAUS Karol Ciepliñski Architekt made it look much larger than it actually is. The interior design of this [tiny, 290 square foot apartment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miami-tiny-house) features a variety of elements. Its wooden details and the mounted deer head give it a rustic, 'cabin' feel, while the rest of the clean white apartment emphasizes the modern and minimalist focus. The all-black bathroom with white accents and a 3D floor looks slightly futuristic. The combination of all these elements coupled with the minimal decorations allows for a unique living space in which the resident can feel as if they have much more room than is actually provided for them. The minimalist studio apartment was built to house short-term residents and by making excellent use of the limited space provided, the designers have created a [unique yet cozy environment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lagom). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Micro-apartments:** Designing and building minimalist micro-apartments that provide a cozy and unique environment while optimizing limited space. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Creating multi-functional furniture that serves more than one purpose, such as seating that doubles as storage space or a bed that folds into a sofa. - **Smart Home Technology:** Incorporating smart home technology to maximize space efficiency, such as lighting systems and temperature control that can be easily adjusted using a smartphone app. ### Where This Applies - **Real Estate:** Innovating in the real estate industry by building and renting out micro apartments that cater to short-term residents, digital nomads and people who value minimalism. - **Furniture and Home Decor:** Designing and selling furniture and home decor that optimize limited space in micro apartments and that are multi-functional, modular and stylish. - **Smart Home Technology:** Developing and providing smart home technology solutions that are user-friendly, efficient, and cater to small-space living, such as voice-activated lighting and temperature control. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reimagined Minimal Parisian Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-cocoon.md) - [Smartly Designed Compact Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-apartments2.md) - [Cleverly Designed Micro Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabanon.md) - [Thoughtful Micro Studio Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-studio-apartment.md) - [Nostalgic 70s-Inspired Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-special-studio.md) - [Lofty Minimalist Living Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-living-space1.md) - [Japanese Inn-Inspired Micro Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-tarta-piccola.md) - [Bathroom-Centric Dubai Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bone-studio.md) - [Multifunctional Small Studio Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-mescla.md)
