Brazil-based Studio MK27 built a multi-functional minimalist retail space for furniture company Micasa — a business that has been running for 20 years. The structure can be identified as extremely spacious, boxy and white. Studio MK27 used "timber, polycarbonate panels [and] white metal sheets" to create a contemporary and uncluttered exterior.
The ultra-modern minimalist retail space is located in the Jardins neighborhood in São Paulo — an upscale part of the city that is surrounded with lush vegetation and trees. As a result, Studio MK27 offers a non-invasive juxtaposition with the environment.
The minimalist retail space will also serve multiple purposes for Micasa. The spacious layout will be utilized as a furniture exhibition space, as well as a temporary residence for invited artists.
