# Divided Domiciles Minimalist House from Shinichi Ogawa & Associates is a Sectioned-Off Sanctuary By Michael Hines | Published 2010-07-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-house References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2010/07/14/minimalist-house-by-shinichi-ogawa-associates/) & [shinichiogawa](http://www.shinichiogawa.com/) The 'Minimalist' house from Shinichi Ogawa & Associates is unlike any house I have ever seen before. This house is divided lengthwise into three sections and separated by a [glass pane and walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curtain-house). When you think about it, the design of the 'Minimalist' house is quite innovative. I especially like the [beds facing the courtyard](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sanctum-house). The ability to project a movie onto the white walls while sitting in bed, as shown above, is a feature that I doubt many other homes have. Check out the gallery or click the links to see more of the 'Minimalist' house. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sectioned-off Living:** An opportunity for architects and designers to create innovative living spaces by incorporating sectioned-off areas for privacy and functionality. - **Bedroom Entertainment:** A potential market for developers to explore integrating entertainment features, like projectors or screens, in bedroom designs to enhance comfort and relaxation. - **Minimalist Architecture:** A growing trend in the architectural industry, offering opportunities for architects to create visually striking and functional minimalist structures like the 'Minimalist' house by Shinichi Ogawa & Associates. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** An industry that can leverage the trend of sectioned-off living to develop innovative and functional architectural designs for residential and commercial properties. - **Interior Design:** A potential industry for interior designers to explore incorporating entertainment features in bedroom designs while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. - **Home Entertainment:** An industry that can benefit from the trend of integrating entertainment features in bedrooms, creating new opportunities for innovative products and services targeting relaxation and entertainment at home. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Void-Cut Elevated Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kumagaya.md) - [Lofty Minimalist Living Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-living-space1.md) - [Terraced Urban Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-minamiazabu.md) - [Compact Corner Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modus-architect.md) - [Japan-Inspired Tiny Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mizuho.md) - [Refined Modern Dwellings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silver-house.md) - [Intersecting Block-Formed Narrow Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-fujidera.md) - [Nature-Inspired Minimal Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-house-1.md) - [Japanese Minimalism Portland Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mori-house.md)
