According to the designers, Danish architectural firm KHR, the building was inspired by the natural landscape and the cultural heritage of the town, with features such as the steep incline of the building face influenced by the nearby fjord, and the fishing net used inside as a space divider. The fresh and pure looking white-dominated church also features large windows that connect to an outdoor amphitheater. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Minimalist Architecture:** Exploring minimalistic design principles to create visually appealing and functional spaces. - **Nature-inspired Design:** Incorporating elements from the natural world to enhance the aesthetic and experience of built environments. - **Sustainable Materials:** Utilizing eco-friendly materials in the construction process to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture:** Opportunity for architects to embrace minimalist design philosophies and create unique structures that blend seamlessly with their surroundings. - **Interior Design:** Potential for interior designers to incorporate natural elements into spaces, creating a calming and harmonious ambiance. - **Construction:** Demand for construction companies to source and utilize sustainable materials to meet the growing environmental consciousness of clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reflection-Encouraging Cohesive Churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hjvangen-church.md) - [Denmark Suburban Modern Churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treroner-church.md) - [Albanian Sleek Concrete Chuches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/narac-church.md) - [Church-Centered Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ekko-chair.md) - [Beautiful Forest-Enclosed Churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mountain-church-of-julong.md) - [Serene Heartwarming Villa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-minimale.md) - [Contemporary Countryside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-countryside-home.md) - [Lofty Minimalist Living Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-living-space1.md) - [Hillside Timber Chapels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapel-of-st-thrse-of-lisieux.md)
