'The Public Collection' is a miniature library that is designed to [improve literacy rates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latin-america-memorial-library) in the Indianapolis area. The Public Collection is an Indianapolis-based project that helps raise awareness for education and social justice. The pop-up library was designed by Rachel M. Simon as a way to combine art and literacy. Simon's called on nine local artists to design book stations that would also double as sculptural works The result is a miniature library that helps improve local literacy and foster a new appreciation for the arts.

The beautiful book stations demonstrate how different artistic mediums can be used to strength a community.
