The speaker maintains a [transparent design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transparent-speaker-x-lncc) that creates the shape of a gramophone using the see-through material and helps to project sound waves forward from the up-firing speaker within. The unit doesn't play records but instead streams audio from your choice of source thanks to [Bluetooth connectivity](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tivoli-audio-boutique). The Harmon Kardon gramophone mini speaker concept is imagined in four color choices including off-white, matte black, spicy orange, and military green. The unit maintains a relatively compact design to make it well-suited for placement on a workstation or bedside table. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 88% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Transparent Speakers:** Creating audio solutions with a transparent design to blend with modern aesthetics. - **Vintage Inspiration:** Drawing inspiration from historic technology to create modern and unique products. - **Compact Audio:** Designing small speakers that optimize audio quality without compromising on style or space. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** Designing and manufacturing modern electronics with a focus on sleek aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. - **Furniture and Home Decor:** Creating functional home decor with a unique vintage aesthetic to match modern interior design preferences. - **Audio Streaming:** Developing technology to make audio streaming more convenient and more accessible to a wider audience, particularly those with a preference for more sophisticated technology. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [See-Through Sci-Fi Turntable Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harman-kardon-record-player.md) - [Ultra-Thin Chromatic Speaker Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diyr-speaker.md) - [Minimalist Wireless Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-wireless-speaker.md) - [Minimal Elegant Desktop Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoan-desktop.md) - [Retro Camera-Like Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kodak-c400r-bluetooth-speaker.md) - [Sculptural Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acoustic-sculpture-speaker.md) - [Minimalist Metallic Speaker Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suono-bluetooth-speaker.md) - [Geometric Two-Part Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-bluetooth-speaker-design.md) - [Washing Machine-Inspired Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hari-3d.md)
