# Minimalist Paperclip Lights Filip Gordon Frank's Mini Me Design Lamp is Seamlessly Curved By Gil Cohen | Published 2013-02-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-me-design References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2013/02/19/mini-me-lamp-by-filip-gordon-frank/) & [filipgordonfrank](http://www.filipgordonfrank.com/) Croatian designer Filip Gordon Frank created this Mini Me design lamp in search of "forms that flow through the space without being interrupted." Designed in a spectrum of nine different colors, the lamps are small and bright, with a curvature that looks like a paperclip that has been unbent. The smooth and seamless design of these [desk lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light) is a very minimized copy of the designer's [floor lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp) version which is five times bigger. Sitting pretty on a table top, the style appeals to those with a [minimalist style preference](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-lighting-design) who enjoy perfunctory shapes and simple lines. The Mini Me design lamp series by Filip Gordon Frank is made with sleek and shiny powder-coated steel. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Minimalist Lighting Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new ways to create minimalist lighting designs that seamlessly integrate into spaces and appeal to a minimalist style preference. - **Seamless and Curved Lamp Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop lamps with seamless and curved designs that mimic minimalist aesthetics and provide a unique visual appeal. - **Miniature Lighting Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create miniature versions of larger lighting fixtures that offer the same sleek and minimalist design, providing users with a space-saving lighting solution. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Innovate within the interior design industry by incorporating minimalist lighting designs that seamlessly blend with various interior styles. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore opportunities within the home decor industry by offering sleek and minimalist lighting options that cater to the growing demand for minimalistic aesthetics. - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with furniture designers to create lighting fixtures that seamlessly integrate with minimalist furniture pieces, providing a cohesive and visually appealing interior design experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Minimalist Mysterious Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auge-light-mini.md) - [Flatpack Minimalist Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-loop-lamp.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Workstation Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-lamp-concept.md) - [Customizable Minimal Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-delta-lamp.md) - [Portable Cubic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romb-mini-lamp.md) - [Minimal Aesthetic Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-light.md)
