# Superhero Pixelated Trailers Superman is Turned into Block Form in This Minecraft Movie Trailer By Ian Andrew Panganiban | Published 2013-05-30 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minecraft-movie References: [youtube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQG6F76On-M) The upcoming Superman flick has a lot of people a buzz, but none are more eager about the movie than comic book nerds, which is why the Machinima channel on [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hacksmith) re-created the trailer for the Man of Steel into a [Minecraft movie](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minecraft-movie-meal). The block game-inspired trailer recreates the scenes from the trailer in awesome Minecraft fashion. The Man of Steel is featured in wonderful [LEGO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piece-by-piece-trailer)-like fashion. The trailer that the Machinima created is similar to many LEGO-made movies, except that the color schemes of the characters aren't predominantly yellow. The trailer is a homage to both fans of the Superman franchise and Minecraft gamers. The only thing that's missing from the trailer to make it feel like a Minecraft game are those strangely aggressive pigs in the game. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Humor](https://www.trendhunter.com/humor) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Superhero Block-form Trailers:** The use of block-form animation to recreate trailers for superhero movies provides a unique and visually appealing way to engage fans. - **Crossover Trailers:** Creating trailers that combine elements from different fan-favorite franchises, like Superman and Minecraft, can attract a wider audience and generate more anticipation for the movie. - **Lego-inspired Movie Trailers:** Adopting the popular LEGO animation style for movie trailers can tap into nostalgia, capture attention, and create a sense of playfulness among viewers. ### Where This Applies - **Film and Entertainment Industry:** Incorporating innovative animation techniques into movie trailers can enhance the audience's experience and build excitement around upcoming film releases. - **Gaming Industry:** Collaborating with popular video game franchises, like Minecraft, to recreate movie trailers in their style can attract gamers and expand the brand's reach. - **Toy and Merchandise Industry:** Creating LEGO-inspired movie trailers can drive interest in related merchandise, including collectible sets, action figures, and other toys. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Puzzle Animated Biopic Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piece-by-piece-trailer.md) - [Superhero-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marvel-superhero-lego-toys.md) - [Video Game-Themed Pixel Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixel-art-collection.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Furniture Catalogue](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-australia-1.md) - [Cinematic Potato Partnerships](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/albert-bartlett.md) - [Superhero Restaurant Promotions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chuck-e-cheese-superman.md) - [Stackable Blush Balms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-minecraft-movie-collection.md) - [Superhero Dramatic Game Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiderman-2-game.md) - [Video Game-Honoring Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oreo-x-a-minecraft-movie.md)
