Danish architecture studio [BIG](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gelephu-international-airport) showcases a look at its master plan for the Mindfulness City development that will take place in Bhutan. It has big plans to highlight an [international airport](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/icolo-e-bengo-aerotropolis) as well as an impressive hydroelectric dam that will also be home to a temple. The development will be in the Gelephu town along the border and will be built around a set of bridges that are inhabitable.

Founder of BIG, Bjarke Ingels, explains the design, that it is "Shaped by waterways, Gelephu becomes a land of bridges, connecting nature and people, past and future, local and global. Like the traditional Dzongs, these [inhabitable bridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-living-bridge) turn into cultural landmarks, doubling as transportation infrastructure combined with civic facilities."
