# Spaceship Luxury Sedans This Millennium Falcon Chevy Malibu is a Star Wars Fan's Dreams By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-04-13 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/millennium-falcon-chevy-malibu References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2014/04/08/millennium-falcon-chevy-malibu/) & [geekartgallery.blogspot](http://geekartgallery.blogspot.ca/2014/04/vehicle-millennium-falcon.html) The Millennium falcon is the most easily recognizable ship in Star Wars, so this remade Millennium Falcon Chevy Malibu had large shoes to fill. The car brings together two kinds of old school by bringing back a 1974 Malibu with the getaway ship of a lifetime, the Millennium Falcon. The right side rearview mirror is where the cockpit is housed on the ship and it even features miniature figures of Han Solo and Chewbacca. The rest of the car is decorated beautifully with paint that mimics the rest of the ship and the stars as they fly at warp speeds. This is what happens when you take a hobby and put money and time into it. What you get is a physical manifestation of fandom. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Spaceship Luxury Sedans:** Creating luxury sedans that are designed to resemble famous spaceships from popular culture. - **Nostalgic Mashups:** Combining elements of old-school cars with iconic imagery from beloved movies or TV shows. - **Fandom Manifestations:** Transforming hobbies and passions into tangible, customized expressions of fandom. ### Where This Applies - **Automotive:** Opportunity for automakers to create luxury sedans inspired by popular spaceships, appealing to dedicated fans. - **Entertainment:** Collaborations between movie studios and car manufacturers to produce vehicles that capture the essence of iconic fictional spaceships. - **Customization:** Market for customized car projects that fuse personal interests, such as movies and TV shows, with the design and aesthetics of vehicles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi Electric Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-van.md) - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Sci-Fi Film-Inspired Gaming Mouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/g502-x-plus-millennium-falcon-edition.md) - [Sci-Fi Gaming Mice](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/millennium-falcon-edition.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Cruiser Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venator-attack.md) - [Sci-Fi Spacecraft LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-spacecraft-lego-set.md) - [Galactic Electric Wagons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electra.md) - [Stealthy Fantasy-Themed Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/f117-4wd-covenant.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Yacht Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-inspired-yacht.md)
