The [Milky Way](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gshock-gcwb5000un-carbon-edition) clock is an [alarm clock](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tilt-smart-clock) designed by Finnish design student Henrik Amberla as an exercise in form. The shape of the timepiece is supposed to reflect the sleep/wake cycle and its duality and unity.

Anberla’s Milky Way clock turns. The unique turning motion triggers the [snooze function](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ahmed-rashad), as well as helps to set the clock’s time and alarm. One can only assume that the smooth, sleek shape of the timepiece was inspired by the universe that we inhabit.
