Although it is most definitely a modern piece of furniture, there is something retro about it as well that makes it seem more like a vintage find than anything else. Designed for LOFTwall, the MILKwall by Design Milk was inspired by the Small Dot pattern designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1947. A mash-up of mid-century and modern aesthetic, it boasts a retro quality that is easily adaptable to the modern home. The MILKwall by Design Milk boasts a [textured teak laminate panel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decorative-wall-panels) and a fabric panel covered in either black or cream Maharam fabric as well as black, white and translucent white standard LOFTwall panels. It can be built in a number of custom configurations. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Retro-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity for creating modern furniture pieces with a vintage aesthetic. - **Adaptable Design:** Opportunity for developing customizable furniture solutions for modern homes. - **Patchwork Patterns:** Opportunity for incorporating patchwork designs into furniture for a unique look. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for furniture designers to create retro-inspired pieces with a modern twist. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to utilize adaptable furniture solutions in their projects. - **Textile Manufacturing:** Opportunity for textile manufacturers to collaborate with furniture designers and incorporate patchwork patterns into their fabrics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Classic Retro Shelving Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pira-g2.md) - [Felt-Made Retractable Room Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixels-1.md) - [Rotating Panel Room Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ro-room-dividers.md) - [Sculptural Room Screens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morgen-screen.md) - [Elegant Cane Partitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midcentury-partition.md) - [Dual-Weave Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bilid.md) - [Material-Centric Room Divider Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ren-series.md) - [Flexible Room Partition Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/room-partition-system.md) - [Elegant Innovative Room Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glimakra-of-sweden.md)
