Designers are taking it back to the front lines this fall with military-inspired menswear.

Everyone from [Burberry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burberry-summer-2024) to D & G and John Galliano have featured heavily-structured jackets with a Victorian twist to create this hot men's fashion phenomenon for Fall 2009.

WWII and [French Navy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vanilla-for-breakfast) officers were Burberry’s biggest inspiration, manifested in [tailored jackets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-vuitton-fall-2026) and two-toned pea coats. Other designers such as D & G have instead taken to embroidered patterns which are in turn inspired by old military designs.

History is making a comeback this fall, so don’t forget about your combat boots and lots of leather!
