# Caroling Kitchen Appliances Microwave Installation Sings "Jingle Bells" By Jennifer Astle | Published 2008-12-19 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microwave-jingle-bells References: [pophangover](http://pophangover.com/?p=1423) Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way...oh what fun it is to have a microwave that sings... People do strange things, especially around the holidays. This group decided that a stack of microwaves could and should sing the tune to the hackneyed Christmas carol, "Jingle Bells." Approximately fifty microwaves were stacked and timed perfectly to perform the song. I wonder, how long did it take to find the perfect "dings," and where did they get all of the microwaves? What’s next? A refrigerator that sings "Happy Birthday?" ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Musical Appliances:** Opportunity for creating appliances that can play music and entertain users. - **Holiday-themed Appliances:** Creating appliances specifically designed to enhance holiday experiences and decorations. - **Stacked Appliance Performances:** Exploring creative ways to stack and organize appliances for unique and entertaining displays. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Appliances:** Appliance manufacturers can innovate by incorporating music-playing features into their products. - **Home Decor:** Companies in the home decor industry can develop holiday-themed appliances to add a festive touch to households. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can offer unique entertainment experiences by incorporating stacked appliance performances into their events. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Karaoke Christmas Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holiday-tree-display.md) - [Musical Chicken Bucket Lids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bucket-lid.md) - [Rewritten Christmas Song Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hijacking-christmas.md) - [Branded Sunrise Carolers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunrise-carolers.md) - [Festive Shoppable Choirs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shoppable-choir.md) - [Singing Seafood Advent Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuna-lovers-singing-advent-calendar.md) - [Quirky AI Holiday Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-very-ai-yule-log.md) - [Smart Holiday Windows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alexa-in-a-pear-tree.md) - [Overly Festive Hotel Suites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/notsosilentnight-suite.md)
