The colander has a small design that's intended to be positioned on top of opened cans to keep contents inside as the user drains out the liquid inside. This eliminates the need for a [full-size colander to strain](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/can-clip) out unwanted liquids, while also reducing cleanup post-preparation. The SIFTR' micro kitchen colander comes in [green, pink, dark gray](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/practical-kitchen-tools), light gray and medium gray color options, and is capable of being used with a multitude of different can sizes. This positions it as a kitchen gadget that could be used on a daily basis when preparing an array of different meals. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Compact Kitchen Gadgets:** There is an opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating compact versions of kitchen essentials, like the 'SIFTR' micro kitchen colander, that provide easy-to-use solutions for consumers with limited kitchen space. - **Multi-functional Kitchen Accessories:** Designing kitchen accessories like the 'SIFTR' micro kitchen colander with the ability to be used with a variety of different can sizes presents opportunities for creating multi-functional kitchen accessories that address multiple consumer needs. - **Sustainable Kitchen Tools:** Creating kitchen accessories like the 'SIFTR' micro kitchen colander with silicone designs can be an option for sustainable kitchen tools that are reusable and have a reduced environmental impact. ### Where This Applies - **Kitchenware Industry:** The kitchenware industry can capitalize on the opportunity to create more compact and multi-functional kitchen essentials like the 'SIFTR' micro kitchen colander. - **E-commerce Industry:** The e-commerce industry can take advantage of the growing demand for compact and multi-functional kitchen gadgets like the 'SIFTR' micro kitchen colander from consumers who are looking for easy-to-use solutions for their limited kitchen space. - **Eco-friendly Industry:** The eco-friendly industry can explore creating more sustainable kitchen tools, like the 'SIFTR' micro kitchen colander with silicone designs, that provide reusable and environmentally-friendly options for consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cookware-Encapsulating Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/splatterdm.md) - [Stylish Kitchen Gadget Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/savor-series.md) - [Minimalist Kitchen Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bio-fresher.md) - [Modern Kitchen Sprouting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sproutypod.md) - [Compact Cookware Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kilne-1.md) - [Multi-Functional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-kitchen-tools.md) - [Single-Piece Silicone Measuring Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boi-measuring-cup.md) - [Pink-Forward Practical Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/practical-kitchen-tools.md) - [Hassle-Free Zester Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-series.md)
