# Hairy Gambling Orbs The Michael Jackson Hair Roulette Ball Acquaints the King of Pop to Lady Luck By Michael Hines | Published 2011-12-18 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michael-jackson-hair-roulette-ball References: [theworldsbestever](http://www.theworldsbestever.com/2011/12/14/michael-jacksons-hair-to-be-turned-into-a-roulette-ball/) & [blog.music.aol](http://blog.music.aol.com/2011/12/13/michael-jackson-memorabilia-hair/) The Michael Jackson hair roulette ball may soon be coming to a casino near you. Gambling website Onlinegamblingpal.com purchased a lock of the King of Pop's hair for $10,871 and plans to turn it into a roulette ball. The site isn't planning to make a novelty roulette ball with the hair. They intend to make it professional grade so that it can actually be used in casinos. Purchasing a lock of celebrity hair is nothing new, but this may very well be the first instance that hair was ever turned into a roulette ball. Online Gambling Pal has not revealed which casinos will be renting the Michael Jackson hair roulette ball, but I'm sure it will make big news wherever it lands. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.4/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Celebrity Memorabilia Integration:** The integration of celebrity memorabilia into traditional industries presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the gaming and entertainment sectors. - **Personalization and Exclusivity:** The demand for personalized and exclusive experiences in the gambling industry has the potential to drive the adoption of unique and unconventional products like the Michael Jackson hair roulette ball. - **Creative Marketing Strategies:** Novelty items like the Michael Jackson hair roulette ball can serve as effective marketing tools, generating buzz and attracting attention to casinos and gambling websites. ### Where This Applies - **Gaming:** The gaming industry can explore the integration of unique and exclusive items, such as the Michael Jackson hair roulette ball, to enhance customer experiences and differentiate their offerings. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry, particularly casinos and online gambling platforms, can leverage celebrity memorabilia to attract players and create memorable experiences. - **Marketing:** Marketing agencies and companies in the gambling sector can utilize creative and unconventional promotional strategies, such as featuring the Michael Jackson hair roulette ball, to generate excitement and engage customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hairstyle NFT Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rodmans-barbershop.md) - [Anthropomorphic Hair Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hair-ballad.md) - [Fortune-Telling Slot Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/esa-gaming.md) - [Parody-Themed Pinball Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinball-game.md) - [Record-Breaking Hair Flip Challenges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/k18hairflip-2026.md) - [Personalized Gambling Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everymatrix.md) - [Human Hair-Made Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/range-of-pots.md) - [Incredibly Potent Cannabis Pre-Rolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ball-family-farms.md) - [Hair Gem Stylers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gem-pen.md)
