# Broom Stick Tables Michael Delucia Creates Unique Cleaning Art Installations By Meghan Young | Published 2009-12-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michael-delucia References: [todayandtomorrow.net](http://www.todayandtomorrow.net/2009/12/18/michael-delucia/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:) & [michaeldelucia](http://www.michaeldelucia.com/works.html) I don’t think these are pieces are actually tables, but it would be cool if Michael DeLucia decided to sell them for that purpose. As [art installation pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-for-the-trees), they are definitely interesting to take in, but as an actual [everyday furnishing piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables), I think your home would be that much more special. Although I couldn’t figure out if there was one [umbrella name](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inbetween-umbrella) for this exhibition (if it is even that), Michael DeLucia did name these pieces separately. Respectively, they are Red Shift, Herring Bone, Forces and Scatter. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 10% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Art Installation Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating furniture that blurs the line between art and functional design. - **Unique Home Furnishings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing unconventional furniture that adds a touch of individuality to homes. - **Sculptural Decor Pieces:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing decorative objects that double as conversation-starting art pieces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrating artistic elements into everyday products to create visually striking designs. - **Furniture and Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Rethinking traditional furniture forms to offer consumers unique and eye-catching home furnishings. - **Exhibition and Gallery:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring the intersection of art and interior design to create immersive exhibition experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md) - [Dynamic Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-transformation-table.md) - [Playful Wavy Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-table-design.md) - [Artwork-Inspired Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/d12-dining-table.md) - [Playful Accent Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bug-table.md) - [Whimsical Sculptural Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/city-block-series.md) - [Ultra-Colorful Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/never-stop-moving.md) - [Repurposed Sawdust Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sawdust-low-table.md) - [Interlocking Puzzle-Like Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-table.md)
