# Dizzying Stairchitecture The Michael Craft House is the Last Home You'll Ever Need to Own By Alex Scott | Published 2010-04-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michael-craft-house References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Architecture-1/481296) & [michaelcraftonline](http://michaelcraftonline.com) Having spent some time in the woodworking field, I have always appreciated the craftsmanship behind a [spiral staircase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cadenza), and the one featured in the [Michael Craft House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/united-flags-of-fashion) is one of the nicest I have seen in a long time. How they install those things in a home I'll never know. Besides that gorgeous piece though, the interior of this place is absolutely stunning. You can never go wrong with an [all-marble bathroom](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-brocca). The sand and earth tones of the Michael Craft House do a great job of bringing out the contemporary furniture and make the granite kitchen shine in all of its glory. The dark stained wood floors add a great contrast to the tan colored built-ins throughout the house. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Spiral Staircase Design:** Opportunity for innovative installation methods and materials for more efficient and cost-effective spiral staircase construction. - **Contemporary Interior Design:** Potential for incorporating earth tones and contrasting elements to create stunning and visually appealing living spaces. - **Luxury Bathroom Design:** Possibility for creating opulent all-marble bathrooms with unique features and amenities. ### Where This Applies - **Construction:** Disruptive advancements in staircase installation methods and materials can revolutionize the construction industry. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for designers to experiment with blending earth tones and contrasting elements in contemporary interior spaces. - **Luxury Real Estate:** Incorporating opulent all-marble bathrooms can attract high-end buyers and differentiate properties in the luxury real estate market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Townhome Staircases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atelier-pierre-thibault-1.md) - [Sculptural LA Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cm-g1.md) - [Modern Mountainous Luxury Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robert-chisholm-architects.md) - [Staggered Floor Modern Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-seven-floors.md) - [Remodelled Staircase-Centric Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cobalt-coach-house.md) - [Tranquil A‑Frame Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steel-a-frame.md) - [Modern Dark Tonal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/texas-residence.md) - [Ceramic Modern Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hillsborough-residence.md) - [Curved Brick Entertaining Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sobremesa-house.md)
