The Los Angeles-based artist specializes in themes that revolve around [magic and the mystical](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anima), especially in regards to the forest. Many [legends, mythologies and folklore](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mischief-academy) envision [forests as areas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grun-collection) in which fantastical creatures and beings would gather to practice magic rituals. Many times the forest could be a dark and foreboding place, inhabited by dangerous spirits and monsters. Other times the woods would be a place where mystics and healers could gather and practice their art. Mia Araujo's artwork centers around a central female figure with surrounding illustrations alluding to that character's history and environment. Faces, characters and symbols fill the painting in order to create a sense of narrative and lore. The abundance of characters complements the piece's overarching theme beautifully, making something that is both coherent and inviting. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Enchanted Forest Art:** Opportunity for artists to create immersive and narrative-driven experiences through magical forest-themed artwork. - **Narrative Portraiture:** Opportunity for artists to create complex and compelling stories through portraiture and symbolism. - **Mythological Imagery:** Opportunity for artists to explore powerful archetypes and mystical themes through imagery and symbolism. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art:** Artists can leverage enchanted forest paintings to create unique and immersive experiences, appealing to collectors and art enthusiasts alike. - **Entertainment:** Enchanted forest art can inspire and inform the creation of new and engaging narratives for films, television, and games. - **Design:** Enchanted forest art can spark new directions in product and graphic design, inspiring the creation of magical and transformative experiences for users and consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Art Escape Rooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daydream-adventures.md) - [Artful Nature-Inspired Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-tale-of-the-forest.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Hand-Painted Watercolor Prints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emma-webster.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md) - [Forgotten Theme-Park Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forgotten-fantasy.md) - [Mythical Forest-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grun-collection.md) - [Inflatable Vibrant Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer.md) - [Immersive Digital Forests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teamlab-1.md)
