Evidently, they serve to hold and support lush greenery, but they also have a [sculptural quality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neojomon-biomorphic-fantme) about them that has rendered them as charming playthings. Each [flower pot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tilt-planter) has been modeled on the simplified form of a Japanese row house, complete with tiny staircases, doorways and real landscaped terraces. Inhabiting the mossy tops of the [indoor garden containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planter-300) are lovely little figurines of grazing cows and horses. The setup would be so appealing to a child who might consider the Metaphys Ienami Planters to be like dollhouses. They can be arranged tightly together to take on a true townhouse-like configuration, connecting the little lawns to form a continuous yard for the toy animals. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Miniature Architecture Planters:** The blending of planters and miniatures creates an opportunity for designers to create unique, playful products. - **Functional Sculpture:** The combination of artistic form and function creates opportunities to reimagine expected product categories. - **Indoor Gardening:** As more people move into urban areas and have less access to outdoor gardening spaces, indoor gardening experienced growth - creating a market opportunity for playful plant products. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can expand their product lines by incorporating functional planters into sculptural pieces. - **Toy and Games:** Toy companies can embrace the popularity of miniature toys and create products like Metaphys Ienami Planters that encourage imaginative play. - **Gardening:** The rise of indoor gardening creates an opportunity for companies to create playful and imaginative products that bring green to urban spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Virtual Pet Planter Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot-concept.md) - [Multifunctional Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-plant-planter.md) - [Luxurious Minimalist Planter Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-planter-set.md) - [Illusory Planter Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rooted-planter.md) - [Chic Staggered Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/staggered-planters.md) - [Building Block Gardening Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-planterior.md) - [Naturalistic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apot-selfwatering-planter.md) - [Compact Canned Houseplants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trader-joes-mini-can-foliage.md) - [Handle-Equipped Planter Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-plant-shelf.md)
