# Modern Metal Tape Dispensers Sculptural Office Supply Brings Beauty and Functionality to the Table By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-02-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metal-tape-dispenser References: [leibal](http://leibal.com/products/cantili/) & [beyond-object](http://www.beyond-object.com/shop/cantili-tape-dispenser-silver) A person's first impression of this metal tape dispenser would surely not be a neutral one. Typically, the acknowledgement of the usual utilitarian office implement would be fairly flat, but this artistic item inspires emotion in the observer. Most likely, a person would not even be able to guess the purpose of this utensil straight away. What you see is a sandwiched pair of glossy disks, made from a mirror-like material. The alloy has been made to emit subtly different colors, so that you can choose between silver, bronze or rose gold finishes. The finished product is gorgeous and sculptural, cantilevering on an angled stand and concealing the adhesive roll inside. Beyond Object's Cantili tape dispenser beautifully fills the gap between elegant decor and basic utility at one's workstation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Artistic Office Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create office supplies that combine functionality with artistic design to bring beauty and inspiration to the workplace. - **Sculptural Desk Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop desk accessories that serve a practical purpose while also functioning as eye-catching sculptural pieces. - **Multi-functional Office Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design office decor that serves multiple purposes, combining aesthetics with useful features in a seamless way. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Office Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Rethink and redesign traditional office supplies to incorporate unique and visually appealing elements, enhancing the overall workspace experience. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Merge the worlds of home decor and office supplies by creating stylish and functional desk accessories that add a touch of elegance to both personal and professional spaces. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with interior designers to create office decor that not only complements the aesthetics of a space but also serves practical purposes, making work environments more inviting and inspiring. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Clamping Stationery Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peleg-design-clamptape.md) - [Sleek Rounded Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enso-tape.md) - [Modern Wooden Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ofiistory-desk-supplies.md) - [Aerospace-Inspired Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/novium-edge-and-shuttleport.md) - [Solid Brass Workstation Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinetic-desk-toy.md) - [Futuristic Sculptural Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk.md) - [Brutalist Aluminum Stationery Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumon.md) - [Sophisticated Copper Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manu-ba.md) - [Luxurious Sculptural Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-candle-holders.md)
