The top drawer of the [lacquered wood nightstand](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumera) pulls out to reveal a glowing, [LED-illuminated acrylic box](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light). The lamp is part of Brion’s ‘Empathy’ collection which aims to examine the perspective of others and as their website says “create a link of complicity and even solve unprecedented situations.” This night light certainly does lay to rest any fears of monsters under the bed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Night Light Design:** Design firms can consider creating innovative night lights with new materials and forms that cater to the needs of children. - **Empathy-based Products:** Product designers can create more empathy-based products that aim to create a sense of safety and security in people. - **Discreet Lighting:** Designers can explore various ways to create discreet lighting options that can be incorporated into furniture and home decor. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Furniture companies can incorporate discreet lighting options into nightstands and other bedroom furniture. - **Home Lighting:** Lighting companies can create more innovative and discreet lighting options for use in bedrooms and other areas of the home. - **Children's Products:** Children's product designers can explore night light options that are both fun and functional, helping to alleviate fears of the dark. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Astronaut Night Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-light-projectors.md) - [Soothing Speaker-Equipped Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lullaby-talk.md) - [Pop-Up Reading Light Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-task-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Light-Equipped Reading Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dasung.md) - [Sleep-Aiding Tranquil Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-player.md) - [Award-Winning Colorful Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/u-table-lamp.md) - [Moon-Inspired Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lua.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md)
