This bed may be the closest I ever get to owning a Mercedes. The Mercedes bed is made out of a Mercedes W115 Coupe. I love upcycled autos. The thought of turning an old Mercedes into material to make a new Mercedes is sickening. I'd rather sleep in a [luxury car](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nostalgic-luxury-car) than watch it sit in a scrap yard. Check out the gallery to view photographic proof of the awesomeness that is the Mercedes bed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Luxury Car Furniture:** Upcycling luxury cars into furniture presents new opportunities for luxury home decor and interior design. - **Automotive Upcycling:** Transforming old vehicles into new forms provides opportunities for sustainable design and eco-friendly product development. - **Boutique Home Goods:** Expanding the market for high-end furniture sourced from unique materials presents opportunities for small and independent home goods retailers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Luxury Furniture:** The luxury furniture industry can capitalize on the trend of using upcycled materials to create unique and eco-friendly pieces. - **Automotive Industry:** The automotive industry can create new revenue streams by exploring partnerships with furniture makers to provide upcycled car parts for unique products. - **Sustainability:** The trend of upcycling old cars into furniture pieces presents opportunities for the sustainable design industry to grow and innovate. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hotel Room Vehicle Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedes-x-belmond-vision-pullman-express.md) - [Luxury Dual-Cab Pickup Trucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gwagen-crew-cab-by-pit26-motorsports.md) - [Luxury Vehicle Test Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedesbenz-world.md) - [Luxury Vehicle Infant Strollers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amg-gt-stroller.md) - [Luxuriously Appointed Off-Road Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unimog-u-4023-luxury.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Car Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drive-pilot-story.md) - [Car Part-Repurposed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-capsule-1.md) - [Luxury Electric Van Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedes-vision-v.md) - [Driver Seat-Inspired Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedesamg-office-chair.md)
