# Clothespin Flash Drives The MemoryPin USB Stick is Doubly Useful for Laundry and Tech Situations By Meghan Young | Published 2011-04-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memorypin-usb-stick References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/04/05/first-last-impressions-from-a-clothes-pin/) & [creativesession.us](http://www.creativesession.us/) The MemoryPin USB Stick will ensure you're getting the right amount of bang for your buck, as it looks beyond the initial purpose of a flash drive and into other possibilities. Although disguised as a typical clothespin, it also acts as a useful flash drive for all your tech needs. In fact, I'm not sure what it is foremost: a clothespin or a memory stick. Conceived by Keith Magruder for CreativeSESSION, the MemoryPin USB Stick is not only practical on several levels, it is also well designed. It offers the perfect shape for a USB, it clips on just about anything so that you can't misplace it, and it can also go along with a business card when sending someone information. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Multipurpose USB Devices:** The trend of multipurpose USB devices creates opportunities for innovative products that serve multiple functions, combining everyday utility with technological capabilities. - **Disguised Technology:** The trend of disguising technology as everyday objects opens up possibilities for inconspicuous and stealthy gadgets that blend seamlessly into our daily lives. - **Practical Design:** The trend of practical and well-designed products emphasizes the importance of creating functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions that enhance user experience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can capitalize on the trend of multipurpose USB devices by developing innovative gadgets that combine technology with everyday use. - **Fashion and Accessories:** The fashion and accessories industry has an opportunity to leverage the trend of disguising technology by creating fashionable and functional wearable tech that seamlessly integrates into personal style. - **Product Design:** The product design industry can benefit from the trend of practical design by focusing on creating aesthetically pleasing and highly functional products that enhance user convenience and satisfaction. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Object-Resembling USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-1.md) - [Icon-Shaped USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folderdrive.md) - [Four-Way Connective Flash Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centralspot-innovation.md) - [Laptop-Fitted USB Stick Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saint-antoine.md) - [Playful Crayon USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-crayola-usbc.md) - [Clipping Pen Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-clippen.md) - [Charming Retro Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floppy-disk-inspired-sd-card.md) - [Clip-Style Clothing Care Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steamur.md) - [Expanding Garment Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-hanger.md)
