Beomyoung Sun and Hyunjung Lee's creation is essentially a long four-walled ledge that doubles as [a lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-lamp). The interior of the rectangular cubby is concealed, however, by a [drapery of white ostrich feathers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-drape-light) and a fringe of rabbit fur. When you place your prized possessions inside, the experience of coming in contact with the velvety lining is quite pleasant. You'll also find that when you run your fingers along the trimming of the Memorive Memory + Dive Lighting Box, it illuminates. The piece gives off an ambient glow and produces [silhouettes where its tiny contents stand](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yurameki). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Hybrid Function Furniture:** The combination of different functions in furniture products opens up opportunities for innovative and multi-purpose designs. - **Unusual Materiality:** Exploring unconventional materials in design, such as ostrich feathers and rabbit fur, can create unique and visually striking products. - **Interactive Lighting:** Incorporating interactive elements into lighting fixtures, like touch-sensitive illumination, adds a playful and engaging experience for users. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers can explore the concept of hybrid functionality to create products that serve multiple purposes, enhancing convenience and versatility for consumers. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate unconventional materials like ostrich feathers and rabbit fur to add whimsy and visual interest to their projects. - **Lighting Industry:** Lighting companies can develop interactive lighting fixtures that provide a unique and interactive experience for users, offering a new way to incorporate lighting into spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Quirky Trinket Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mystic-box.md) - [Storage-Friendly Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storage-lamp.md) - [Winged Storage Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flutterbox.md) - [Illuminating Home Display Pedestals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/welcome-decor-piece.md) - [Emotional Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection.md) - [Cabin-Shaped Reading Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boof-reading-light.md) - [Illusory Multidimensional Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-light.md) - [Adorable Luxurious Storage Compartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-storage-compartment.md)
