# File-Flaunting USBs The MEMOME! Post-It Drive Displays Content on a Sticky Note Surface By Vivian Lau | Published 2012-08-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memome References: [psfk](http://www.psfk.com/2012/08/post-it-note-thumb-drive.html) & [ifdesign.de](http://www.ifdesign.de/talents_participants_galerie_e?sprache=1&award_id=259&offset=8415&result_count=0) If you are somebody who has an entire collection of USBs that takes forever to cycle through to find that one file, consider the MEMOME! USB. This quirky [USB drive](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extreme-fit-usb-c) is yellow, like a Post-It note, and curved at the end. Behold, the similarities do not just stop there. As files are saved onto the drive, the file names show up on the surface of the USB in e-ink. By borrowing the simple concept of the [written note](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stickyflow) and displaying all the contents this way, one can easily track what it is they have on each key. This flash drive was created by Jui-Min Huang of the [National Yunlin University of Science and Technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gat-umbrella), and is in contention for the iF concept design award 2012. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **E-ink Display Technology:** Incorporating e-ink displays into everyday objects presents an opportunity for creating dynamic and customizable user interfaces. - **Smart Storage Solutions:** Designing USB drives with innovative features like surface display can revolutionize data organization and retrieval for users. - **Visual Information Interfaces:** Creating intuitive interfaces that visually represent information can enhance user experience and efficiency. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Technology Hardware:** The technology hardware industry can explore incorporating e-ink displays into various devices and accessories for improved functionality. - **Product Design:** The product design industry can create smart storage solutions that integrate innovative features like surface displays to enhance user interaction. - **Information Technology:** The IT industry can develop visual information interfaces that provide users with a more intuitive and efficient way to manage data and files. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digitized Sticky Note Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memojector.md) - [Object-Resembling USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-1.md) - [Laptop-Fitted USB Stick Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saint-antoine.md) - [Folder-Shaped Hard Drive Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folder-external-hard-disk.md) - [Bird-Shaped USB Flash Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinge.md) - [Charming Retro Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floppy-disk-inspired-sd-card.md) - [Four-Way Connective Flash Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centralspot-innovation.md) - [Playful Crayon USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-crayola-usbc.md) - [Digital Sticky Note Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-sticky-notes.md)
