They look like [giant blobs of oversized melted bulbs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foscarini-1), which gives the lighting a unique look. If you are wondering how you can change the bulbs once they burn out, you may contact [SOLID](http://www.solidlighting.com/pagina/homegeneral.htm) lighting, as they also contributed to this project. This just might be one of my favorite trends yet! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Crystal Lighting:** Designing crystal light fixtures in unconventional shapes and sizes to give unique lighting experiences. - **Handcrafted Décor:** Increasing consumer demand for artisanal home décor products creating opportunities for handmade crystal lamps. - **Sustainable Lighting:** Replacing traditional light bulbs with creative and sustainable alternatives like crystal lighting for a more eco-friendly future. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Lighting:** Creating new ways of designing, producing and distributing innovative lighting fixtures to meet the growing demand for unique home and commercial lighting solutions. - **Artisanal Products:** Handcrafted goods have been rising in popularity supporting small businesses and independent artisans that specialize in producing unique décor and lighting products. - **Sustainability:** The rise of sustainable alternatives and materials in lighting systems creates opportunities for new products in the lighting industry that cater to the growing eco-friendly customer base. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Melt-Resembling Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/melt-light.md) - [Multifaceted Glass Crystal Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-light-fixtures.md) - [Bulbous Whimsical Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic.md) - [Whimsical Glass Bubbled Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peeka.md) - [Mouth-Blown Glass Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-pendant-light.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubbles-lighting-design.md) - [Glassmaking Tubular Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flare-light.md) - [Translucent Bulbous Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-glow-light.md) - [Balloon-Like Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-blown.md)
