One of their latest concepts, the “Liquid Lamp,” is a light fixture that appears to be made of [flowing liquid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripple-light). Once I saw this product, I remembered one of my favorite paintings by Salvador Dali, The Persistence of Memory. The Liquid Lamp might be too simple for some, yet only few will appreciate its true beauty. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Flowing Design:** Creating products that appear to be made of flowing liquid could capture consumers' attention and add a unique touch to home decor. - **Sculptural Lighting:** Combining art and lighting can lead to innovative products that provide both functionality and aesthetically pleasing design. - **Experimental Fixtures:** Designers can use unconventional materials and shapes to create lighting fixtures that bring a fresh, edgy twist to home decor. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can incorporate fluid design elements into their product lines to bring a striking, one-of-a-kind look to customers' homes. - **Lighting:** Lighting companies can experiment with unconventional shapes and materials to create fixtures that don't just illuminate a space, but also serve as statement pieces. - **Art & Sculpture:** Art and sculpture companies can incorporate lighting into their creations to enhance the visual impact of their pieces and offer multi-functional works of art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Poetic Rippling Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yurameki.md) - [Dripping Faucet-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-light-fixture.md) - [Molten Glass Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foscarini-1.md) - [Artfully Liquid-Like Light Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cairn-lamp.md) - [Sleek Structural Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emotional-lab-light.md) - [Japanese Lantern-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/madco.md) - [Floating Illusion Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lp-lamp.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md)
