Switzerland artist Urs Fischer created a stunningly visual project featuring [oversized pastel-colored raindrops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree) that are suspended from the ceiling. The 3,000 multicolored plaster raindrops are suspended mid air by a barely visible monofilament producing an almost [whimsical and playful atmosphere](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-vuitton-octopus) to the environment. The abnormally large pink, purple, green, blue and yellow raindrops are sharply contrasted with the headless clay figures that are lying on what seems to be rain-worn furniture sculpted from clay. According to Fischer on her creative installation, she says, “[c]ollectively, these sculptures describe an earthbound world of disorderly, golem-like forms in contrast with the symphony of suspended shapes above.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Oversized Installations:** Creating large-scale installations that immerse viewers in a whimsical and visually stunning experience. - **Pastel Colors:** Utilizing soft and muted hues to evoke a sense of playfulness and relaxation in artistic creations. - **Suspended Art:** Exploring the use of suspension techniques to defy gravity and create a captivating atmosphere in art installations. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art Exhibitions:** Showcasing innovative and visually striking art installations in galleries and museums. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating oversized and playful elements, such as pastel-colored raindrops, into interior spaces to create unique and engaging environments. - **Event Planning:** Designing memorable experiences by incorporating oversized installations and suspended art to captivate attendees and create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mesmerizing Fluid Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-fountain.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Inflatable Vibrant Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer.md) - [Gas Rig Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/striking-art-installation.md) - [Peace-Inspired Waterfall Installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transposition-installtion.md) - [immersive artful bright installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chroma-installation.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md) - [Branded Rain-Themed Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rain-experience.md) - [Playful Pop Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-vuitton-octopus.md)
