# Biomimicry Kitchen Fixtures This Meidad Marzan Faucet Embraces the Nature of its Task By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-08-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meidad-marzan-faucet References: [industrialdesignserved](http://www.industrialdesignserved.com/gallery/Faucet-Dish-rack/1024181) A kitchen absolutely must be designed with at least one substantial window to provide a view outside and bring sunlight flooding in. This Meidad Marzan faucet and dish rack become as inspired as the garden-gazing cook, in terms of the way they've taken shape. Influenced by the grass, trees and twigs found in one's own backyard, this culinary set brings a little bit of nature onto the countertop. The [tree branch tap](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evergreen-tilthead-stand) is complete with organic offshoots that give the fixture a truly gripping form and a uniquely different mode of interaction and operation. More complex, the [drying rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legni-collection) that accompanies the Meidad Marzan faucet incorporates a potted plant to contain cutlery and an arboreal hanger to suspend miscellaneous implements. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Biomimicry Kitchen Fixtures:** The trend of designing kitchen fixtures inspired by elements of nature, such as trees and twigs, creates opportunities for innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs. - **Organic Offshoots:** The trend of incorporating organic offshoots in kitchen fixtures, like the tree branch tap, provides a unique and interactive user experience, disrupting traditional faucet designs. - **Nature-inspired Countertop Accessories:** The trend of bringing elements of nature, like plants and arboreal hangers, onto the countertop through kitchen accessories fosters a connection to the outdoors and adds a touch of freshness to the culinary space. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchen Fixtures Manufacturing:** The kitchen fixtures manufacturing industry can explore biomimicry designs to create innovative and nature-inspired products that cater to eco-conscious consumers. - **Home Improvement Retail:** Home improvement retailers can capitalize on the demand for organic offshoots and nature-inspired countertop accessories by offering a wide range of unique and aesthetically pleasing options. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can integrate biomimicry kitchen fixtures and nature-inspired countertop accessories into their designs, creating visually appealing and environmentally conscious spaces for their clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Refined Dishwasher Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grifoa-sliding-faucet.md) - [Abstract Industrial Faucet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formation-01-faucet.md) - [Refined Outdoor Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-kitchen-faucets.md) - [Design-Forward Kitchen Faucet Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jema-collection.md) - [Ultra-Modern Sliding Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desliz-faucet.md) - [Avant-Garde Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oasium.md) - [Designer Water Purifier Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumos-water-purifier.md) - [Colorful Resin Faucet Handles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chromablock.md) - [Nature-Inspired Design Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantbased-2.md)
