# Decepticon Army Vehicles The Megatron Tank Will Have Autobots Shivering in Its Presence By Matt Ho | Published 2011-02-27 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/megatron-tank References: [gadgetsin](http://gadgetsin.com/awesome-transformers-megatron-tank-steel-sculpture.htm) & [zcool.cn](http://www.zcool.com.cn/work/ZNTYzODU2/1.html) Sure, [Optimus Prime](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optimus-25) has the guts, but I doubt that the rest of his crew wants to stand up to the Megatron Tank. A Chinese Transformers fan has created this [life-sized military vehicle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/van-daryl-war-truck) to pay homage to the Decepticon's fearless leader. The tank has spiked tracks, six rear booster rockets, a mean-looking cannon and armor that looks like it'd take more than just a missile to pierce through. I hope it isn't too late for Transfomers 3 to use this Megatron Tank design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Military Vehicle Innovations:** The Megatron Tank showcases the potential for disruptive innovations in the military vehicle industry, with its spiked tracks, booster rockets, and advanced armor. - **Fan-created Designs:** The creation of the Megatron Tank by a Transformers fan highlights the trend of fan communities contributing innovative ideas and designs to industries. - **Adaptive Armor Technology:** The armor of the Megatron Tank demonstrates the growing trend of adaptive armor technology in military vehicles, offering potential applications in other industries like aerospace and defense. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Military Vehicle:** The Megatron Tank design opens up opportunities for disruptive innovation in the military vehicle industry through its unique features and design. - **Toy and Collectibles:** The popularity of fan-created designs like the Megatron Tank presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the toy and collectibles industry, as enthusiasts seek unique and custom-made products. - **Aerospace and Defense:** The adaptive armor technology showcased in the Megatron Tank suggests disruptive innovation possibilities in the aerospace and defense industry, where advanced protection systems are highly valued. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Auto-Transforming Toy Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grimlock.md) - [Transforming Robot Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformers-the-ark.md) - [Transforming Crossover Dinosaur Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformers-x-jurassic-park.md) - [Cartoon Franchise Collab Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bape-and-transformers-1.md) - [Angular Remote-Controlled Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rc-kit.md) - [DIY Life-Size Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nd-woodworking-art.md) - [Transforming Camera Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transforming-camera-toys.md) - [Custom-Built Sci-Fi Series Motorcycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bumblebee-bike.md) - [Auto Cartoon Plushies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformers-reversible-plushies.md)
