This collection of medical inspired shoes is the work of Gwendolyn Huskens, a student at the [Design Academy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tidal-stories) in Eindhoven.

The six pairs of shoes in this ‘medic esthetic’ collection are all made from medical supplies such as plaster bandages and [band-aids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-met-x-bandaid), and were created as a comment on the taboos associated with physical deformities.

It’s a shame medical supplies are manufactured in neutral tones. Perhaps these shoes would be more appealing if a splash of color had been added?
