The design virtually blends into its surroundings while standing out enough to be a gorgeous design and an amazing escape into the wilderness. With nearly entirely transparent walls and incredible beam work, the wooden cabin has all the best aspects of a [cabin in the woods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/columbia-river-valley-lookout) while combining modern design and luxurious living. Located among the mountains, the smaller cabin includes a bunkee, a step out patio and a design that marries function and beauty. The [darker wood of the exterior walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smoke-lake-cabin) is contrasted against the lighter wood of the pine in the beams and interior space, mirroring the surrounding natural landscape. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Asymmetrical Log Design:** Opportunity for architects to create cabins in the woods with unique, asymmetrical designs that blend into the natural surroundings. - **Transparent Architecture:** Opportunity to design cabins with transparent walls that emphasize the beauty and serenity of nature. - **Luxury Living in Nature:** Opportunity to create remote getaways that combine the simplicity of cabin living with modern design and luxurious amenities. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Asymmetrical log design presents an opportunity for architects to showcase their creativity and build unique cabins in the woods. - **Tourism:** Transparent architecture and luxury living in nature present an opportunity for the tourism industry to create unique and memorable getaway experiences. - **Home Design:** Transparent walls and unique designs present an opportunity for the home design industry to create modern and luxurious cabins in natural environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angular Getaway Cabin Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halfmoon-bay.md) - [Hilltop Valley-Overlooking Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hermitage.md) - [Forest-Treetop Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/more-cabin.md) - [Log Cabin-Inspired Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/restua.md) - [Countryside Woodland Cabin Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aralar-cottage.md) - [Forest Retreat Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oculus.md) - [Architectural Tranquil Cabin Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bolder-londges.md) - [Mountain Retreat Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizon-cabin.md) - [Dark-Green Minimal Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scalar-architecture.md)
